Beechtree Capital and related investors have provided equity and debt investments in over 70 transactions involving more than 35 start-up and emerging companies. Total private and institutional debt and equity funding for these companies has exceeded $1 billion. Approximately 75% of our equity investments have been successful, resulting in approximately a 400% return to investors.

Beechtree Capital principals have had their greatest success when acting as a lead investor. They have acted in this capacity in 36 transactions involving 13 companies and 34 of these transactions have been successful.

Beechtree prefers to invest in or advise high-growth companies in emerging industries with business models that lead to near-term, positive operating income and a clear attainable exit strategy. Beechtree typically participates in second to fourth round financings in the range of $1 - $10 million.  Although Beechtree prefers to serve as the lead investor, we will also work within a syndicate for particular opportunities. Our track record of positive results is primarily due to our close continuing relationship with senior management of portfolio companies and due to Beechtree’s ability to provide financial and relationship capital along with sales, marketing and advisory services.
